it's been almost four years since the digidestined fullfilled their destiny and saved both the real world and the digital world! no longer children, but young men and women with graduation on the horizon, they've learned more about love and loss than most. wise beyond their years, the digidestined have never, and will never, forget their friends and partners in the digital world. lucky for them, they can visit whenever they want!

everything seemed to be going well, too. matt's band was making it big. tk was on the road to becoming the youngest editor of his school paper, and was the school's prized journalist, while davis was the school's star soccer playing - rivaling even tai's legacy! (well, at least in his head.) meanwhile, rika, still the queen of digimon, has taken the time to grow and mature, while takato and guilmon still manage to get into trouble. the universes that divided the tamers and the digidestined was wide until one day henry was working on a history paper and he saw matt, live in concert, and it wasn't a cartoon.

at first, he thought he was seeing things and kept it to himself. when the tamers called a meeting at the park, in the exact spot where they'd lost their digimon so long ago, takato and rika knew that something was up and they weren't going to like it. henry had just expected them to talk and to tell them what he'd seen. and then a giant digiportal opened and sucked them, and their digimon, into the digital world.

only they weren't alone. when they got to their feet, there they were. face to face with the digidestined.

a new world. a new destiny. a new evil.
